Areas of Research Interest

I am a mammalian reproductive biologist with a fundamental interest in ovarian function. This includes: the mechanisms underlying folliculogenesis focusing on the role of somatic cells in regulating this process; factors governing early embryo development; clinical infertility; and ovarian cancer. I am part of a NIH-funded Program Project investigating the differential activity and function of human FSH glycoforms upon reproductive function and how these glycoforms change as a function of age. Numerous techniques are utilized to address the above research areas including primary cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, and morphological analysis.
