Assistant Director for Assessment, Outreach, & Events, September 2019 to present

  • Oversee all marketing and communication functions for the department
  • Coordinate large scale events including Move-In, Move-Out, and all Open Houses

  • Create and implement a comprehensive marketing campaign for the department

Associate Director for Residence Life, May 2012 to June 2016

  • Served as University Judicial Officer and oversee all aspects of the judicial process for residents who live on campus.
  • Oversaw all aspects of residence life including training, programming, selection, LLCs, and Camps & Conferences
  • Assisted the Director with the development, monitoring and management of the department鈥檚 budget.
  • Directly recruited, selected, supervised, and evaluated 4 unclassified professional full-time staff, and indirectly 4 classified staff and approximately 100 paraprofessional student staff.
  • Oversaw all aspects of security in Housing and Residence Life. Serve as a liaison to the University Police.
  • Served as the sole tertiary-level on-call responder to any housing issues, including conduct and crisis management.
  • Served as senior leadership team member in charge of departmental assessment

 

Interim Director, February 2015 to June 2015

  • Oversaw university housing serving 1,300 residents.
  • Served as budget officer for housing and residence life accounts; authorize expenditures and monitor budgetary activities appropriately. Manage $4.3M operating budget.
  • Provided leadership and strategic direction to the department while managing and coordinating daily operations.

 

Department of Housing & Dining, University of Central Oklahoma

Residence Hall Director, July 2010 to May 2012

  • University Commons Hall Director (July 2011 鈥 May 2012); managed 384 bed, co-ed, apartment-style residence hall; training, selection, and supervision of 6 resident assistants and 2 part-time desk clerks
  • West Hall Residence Hall Director (July 2010 鈥 July 2011); managed 458 bed, all-female, traditional-style residence hall; trained, selected, and supervised 12 resident assistants and 1 part-time desk clerk
  • Served as on-duty hall director one night a week and approximately one weekend a month for a residential campus community of 1,800; responsible for responding to emergencies and major policy violations
  • Served as Conduct Officer and adjudicated conduct cases, as well as managed the student judicial database
  • Managed a budget of approximately $5,000/year, and oversaw a minimum of 60 RA programs per semester
  • Advised individual hall councils and oversaw a programming budget of approximately $6,000/semester
